Most home septic systems are simple to locate. The first step is to find your sewerline cleanouts they should be right next to the home. They are two pipes next to each other with caps to give your plumber access to the sewer line.
 Second, the tank should be about ten feet away from the cleanouts.
 If you cant find a lid you may have to probe and dig to locate the top of your tank. Finally once you have found the tank you can locate the drain field by looking for the greenest part of the lot. The greener area is your drainfield. By probing around the area you can find the edges and determine if the drainage is within code.
